Fatima College Under 20 4x100m Team is the Number 1 Secondary School Team in Trinidad and Tobago!

Last week Wednesday, 8th February, 2012 Fatima College was crowned the champion 4x100m under-20 team at the National Secondary Schools Relay Championship. The squad of Trey Hart, Abraham Bowen, Breon Mullings, and Alexander Prevatt captured the title in a time of 43.1 seconds on a bone-hard track. These four young men are preparing for their second trip to the Penn Relays in April this year and have set sights on remaining very consistent throughout this season. Once they maintain precision baton passing and steadily improve their speed, these young men will continue to grow from strength to strength.

Following close behind is the under-17 4x100m team who placed second in their division with a time of 45.54 seconds. Xavier Mulugata (a reserve on last year’s 4x100m Penn Relays team) gave the team a lead as he quickly made up the stagger from a difficult inside lane. The rest of the squad (Kyle Joseph, Brendon Creed and Marquise Hoyte) moved the baton around fast enough to demolish the competition in their heat but just missed out on overall first place. It is easy to see that these four young men are making a charge towards representing the college at the highest levels.
